On 25th November 2016, Mr. Sivadas, PGT Physics,
briefed us about the application of trigonometry in Physics.
Trigonometry, he explained, has a wide range of
application in Physics and is an essential for deriving and solving many
equations. It is a vital tool in determining the distance between different
planets and stars. Because of its ability to explain space distance and its
relationships with angles, it can very well be used in all the branches of
Modern Physics. Trigonometry is also crucial for understanding light rays and
their behavior. Because complex problems such as the bending of light rays as it passes through glass, can be
broken down into mathematical components, they can be easily solved and
analyzed by means of trigonometry. The talk was very informative and
enlightening.
